A perspective has arisen which I was not previously aware of .
The Americans have satellite imagery of the crash and its immediate after effects .
But they will not hand over this evidence to the Polish authorities .
END OF STORY
Naturally this decision is ruled by wider political considerations .
But how amazing that we have reached such a position --- what terrible species we are .
It would be interesting to know and understand the American reasoning . Disclosure of damning evidence would undoubtedly be the end for Putin and probably Medvedev also .
Does the US , for example , now have a huge black mail threat against Russia and again , for example , a means to force Russia into certain actions --- like blowing a plane out of the sky which was carrying people critical to the running and development of the nuclear plant at Bushehr in Iran ?
What a game of Chess !!
The mind boggles at the possibilities contained in these events
In an interview to a Polish magazine, Fakt, Rafal Rogalski, a lawyer of the family of Polish president Lech Kaczynski who was murdered by the Russian terrorist network FSB on the orders of Medvedev and Putin, accused Obama of direct complicity with Russian terrorism. Mr. Rogalski said:
"The brother of the slain Polish president, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, personally drafted a letter to Obama asking for legal assistance in the investigation of the Smolensk tragedy. Mr. Kaczynski has full knowledge of the Polish investigation. The letter was sent to American authorities. However, legal assistance and especially the handover of the most important information never followed. It refers in particular to information refuting the unfair and tendentious Russian report by the Moscow Aviation Committee (MAC).
The American president could do much for the investigation of the Smolensk tragedy. First of all, he could order his subordinates to carry out full co-operation with Polish military prosecutors.
Among other things, he could order them to hand over to Polish authorities the satellite photos which were made during the last minutes before the crash of the Tupolev airplane. Polish prosecutors have only satellite photos of the Smolensk airport made on April 5 and April 12, 2010. However, the series of the satellite photos of the catastrophe, or, specifically, the photos, made at the time when the plane touched the ground and directly after that, are most important for the investigation.
With a probability bordering on certainty, we can safely say that these photos were taken by the Americans.
These photos would be a great help for the investigation. First of all, we need them to establish the exact topography and the Russian equipment placed there. It is necessary to be aware that even the beacons installed at the Smolensk airport and at some distance from it, are mobile. We need the photos to establish exactly where they were at the time of the crash.
A statement made by the Polish military prosecutor's office in Warsaw, acknowledging of the completion of the American aid, was premature. We must insist that America helps us in full. The materials they sent to us were not what we expected in the first place. Most of them are just paper trash. The statement by the military prosecutor's office means its helplessness.
We asked, and the Americans responded in a diplomatic language, "we cannot help you anyway anymore". In this sense, indeed, we may say that the legal aid from the United States was completed. But why didn't the Polish prime minister Tusk and the foreign minister Sikorski intervene to help the prosecutor's office in that case?
It is quite clear that the American refusal to help us was politically motivated. The US does not want a conflict with Russia.
It also, of course, concerns the lack of assistance from the NATO because NATO and America is the same thing. The most important task of the NATO is to support America as a superpower. Neither Tusk nor any other minister has so far used the legal leverage that our membership in the EU and NATO offers us in order to help Polish prosecutors and the Miller's Committee (Miller is the Polish interior minister - KC).
Russians destroyed the wreckage of Tupolev and the wiring, smashed the glasses - I can hardly find justification for that. Moreover, the Russians did it before their persecutors started the investigation on the crash site.
The question why the Russians did it remains open. Maybe, somebody wanted to destroy evidence, to prevent or hinder the adoption of appropriate measures.
As far as a terrorist attack as the cause of the crash is concerned, all versions are possible, unless they are categorically excluded. This is one of the fundamental principles of criminal investigations and criminology.
In the Smolensk disaster, Polish and NATO generals were killed, in addition to senior officials of the Polish state and the president.
It happened in a country with which we have a very serious historical precedent (slaughter by the Russians of 23,000 Polish prisoners of war in a concentration camp in Katyn in 1940 - KC). It happened in the country which is also an antagonist of the NATO and the EU in which Poland is a member state.
We should not forget about the involvement of the late Lech Kaczynski in the Georgian conflict, as well as his organization and participation in many other projects that acted against various Russian interests.
If a plane with Obama crashed in Russia, nobody would doubt that it is necessary to check first the version of a terrorist attack", the Polish lawyer said.
